Winter came and went and my dog had leftover fur from it. She is new to the family and it looked like she hadn't been brushed since winter. She was shedding fur all over and we decided to put a stop to it. She didn't like it but that was secondary to getting the fur gone.Using the brush was easy. You basically comb through their fur and it comes off. When I was done we had another dog. It got pretty much all of her winter coat.This is a good brush. Take your time and you will have a clean coat pretty quick.

The Deshed brush is a good quality product manufactured with quality materials. **CAUTION** This Deshed Brush is very sharp use caution and handle with care. The Deshed brush works very well on animals with long thick coats, but it is not as effective on thin coats or shorter hair. It was designed with an easy to hold and control handle. It is also very easy to clean up after use. I recommend this product to any pet owner who's pet has a medium to thick coat.

Look closely at the Maxpower Planet grooming tool and you'll notice each blade is sharpened near its base while having a smooth rounded tip. This allows the brush to slice off dead or dying hair and tangled clumps while not being a danger to your pet. In fact, our dogs come running when they see us pull out this brush and give every indication they love the feel of getting groomed with it. The two different blade configuration on each side of the brush allows you to take out the really tough and tangled stuff first and then shift to more general grooming with the other side of the brush. We had been using one of the "hacksaw blade" type grooming tools and thought it did a very good job. But the Maxpower brush is even better. It is now our go-to brush.

This rake makes it easier to groom my dog, since it separates the hairs and allows for better cutting with clippers. Plus, if you're dog has a thick coat, this can thin it out effortlessly.

Five star tool. Very simple to use, just rake the coat with either side of the tool either sideways or down. I find I get a better result coming down but my cats hate that. Do you prefer a rake sideways from head to their tail.
